"Come back, Glaceon. You did well!" Liu Qing took out a Poké Ball and recalled Glaceon, then tossed out another. "Come out, Porygon-Z!"
"Liu Qing has sent out Porygon-Z!" the Announcer announced.
"Porygon-Z, huh? Another powerful opponent!" Brock remarked.
"Go, Misty! Keep that momentum going and win!" Ash paid no attention to Brock's words, instead cupping his hands around his mouth and shouting.
"Porygon-Z, Tri Attack!" Liu Qing struck first.
White light shone from the tips of Porygon-Z's arms and tail as it floated in the air. A triangle of energy instantly formed and shot toward Politoed on the ice.
"Politoed, jump up to dodge, then use Hydro Pump!" Misty called in response.
Politoed pushed off hard against the ice and leaped into the air. It took a deep breath to unleash Hydro Pump, only to discover that its opponent's head was still in front of it, but its body had vanished. Then it suddenly felt something wrap around its back.
"Oh no!" Down below, Misty already sensed that something was wrong...
"Liu Qing's going to win this round. Misty got stuck in her usual way of thinking and actually chose to jump into the air. Didn't she notice that Porygon-Z was floating?" Brock said in dismay. Still, he knew he could see things clearly because he was watching from the sidelines. If he were battling himself, he might not have thought of that either—and by the time he did, it would have been too late.
"Zap Cannon!" Liu Qing ordered without hesitation.
At Liu Qing's command, blue electricity engulfed Politoed's entire body. Its face twisted in agony, and it let out a terrible scream. With a boom, an explosion sent it crashing onto the ice, unable to battle.
"Politoed is unable to battle. Porygon-Z wins!" the referee declared.
