After Substitute was used, the real Pokémon seemed to hide in some special space. Liu Qing did not even see how Glalie reappeared; it materialized right in front of Rhyperior and struck the immobilized Pokémon with an Ice Beam. Ice gradually encased Rhyperior's body, and its face twisted in pain.

"Come back, Rhyperior!" Seeing Rhyperior being frozen solid, Liu Qing hurriedly took out its Poké Ball to recall it. Tyson clearly had no intention of letting him do so, however, and immediately ordered, "Glalie, Block!"

As Glalie used its move, a plant on the field suddenly grew taller, intercepting the red beam from the Poké Ball. Rhyperior could no longer be recalled.

"Glalie has used Block! It looks determined to settle the battle with Rhyperior!" the Announcer announced loudly.

"Liu Qing, let's see what you do now!" Looking at the frozen Rhyperior, Tyson shouted, "Glalie, keep using Iron Head!"

Glalie's forehead immediately gleamed with a metallic light as it rammed into Rhyperior again. This time, with no Arm Thrust to stop it, Iron Head landed squarely. Glalie then accelerated and charged at Rhyperior once more.

"Liu Qing is in trouble! Frozen solid, Rhyperior has no way to stop Glalie's Iron Head attacks!" the Announcer cried.

The ice is too thick. It's restricting Rhyperior's movements, leaving it no leverage to use its full strength and break free. But if Iron Head hits the ice once more, the cracks will widen. That will be Rhyperior's chance to strike back. Liu Qing constantly reminded himself to remain calm no matter the circumstances, and he silently considered his options as he watched the changes on the field.

Crack, crack, crack! As Iron Head landed again, the cracks across the ice instantly widened. Liu Qing's eyes flashed, and he shouted, "Rhyperior, Arm Thrust!"
