"Steelix, quick! Slam Glaceon into the ground with Iron Tail!" Glaceon had barely charged the earlier Blizzards, so this fully charged one would clearly be far stronger than the previous two. Steelix's mouth was arguably the least protected part of its body, and Tyson hurriedly shouted his command.
Steelix was just about to bite down on Glaceon, but its absolute trust in its trainer made it stop. Its enormous tail gleamed with a metallic sheen. Just as it was about to strike the ground, an immensely powerful Blizzard erupted from Glaceon's mouth and hit Steelix square in the face. Steelix roared in pain, and its massive tail slammed into the ground with a crash, throwing up a cloud of dust.
"Steelix's Iron Tail and Glaceon's Blizzard hit each other at the same time!" Announcer shouted.
The dust quickly cleared, revealing a battered Glaceon standing in an enormous crater, panting as it stared at the equally breathless Steelix. Both pairs of eyes burned with unyielding fighting spirit. Then Steelix's enormous body went limp, and it crashed to the ground, unable to battle.
"Steelix is unable to battle. Glaceon wins!" the referee announced.
"Come back, Steelix. Thanks for all your hard work." Tyson froze for a moment, then recalled Steelix. He took out his fifth Poké Ball and threw it. "I'm counting on you, Dusknoir!"
"Glaceon, come back!" Even with Glaceon's high defense, taking an Iron Tail had hurt. Hail and Sandstorm were still competing across the field, too. If Dusknoir chose to hide, Liu Qing would have no way to use the hail to locate it. After a brief moment of thought, he took out Porygon-Z's Poké Ball and threw it.
"Tyson has sent Dusknoir back out, while Liu Qing has replaced Glaceon with Porygon-Z!" Announcer said.
