Mahogany Town was small, but it had plenty of shops selling famous local specialties, including Lake of Rage steamed buns. After passing through the Lake of Rage, Liu Qing finally arrived in town.
After resting for a day, Liu Qing headed to the Mahogany Gym to challenge for his seventh Badge.
The Mahogany Gym's battlefield was the Ice Field, with a pool in the middle. It gave Pryce, an Ice-type specialist, a considerable advantage.
"The Gym Challenge will now begin! Each side will use two Pokémon. The match ends when both Pokémon on either side are unable to battle. Only the challenger may switch Pokémon during the match; the Gym Leader may not. Now, begin!" With the two Trainers standing at opposite ends of the battlefield, Pryce's wife, Sima, announced the rules as referee.
"Go, Dewgong!" As soon as Sima finished speaking, Pryce threw a Poké Ball. The white light faded, revealing a Pokémon with pure white skin, a small pointed horn on its head, and a piercing gaze. It landed in the pool in the middle of the field.
"In that case, go, Porygon-Z!" Liu Qing threw his Poké Ball as well. A flash of white light revealed a strangely moving Pokémon floating in the air, its head and body drifting apart.
"Oh? Is that an evolved form of Porygon? This is my first time seeing this Pokémon!" Pryce's eyes lit up as he studied Porygon-Z. No Pokémon Trainer could resist taking an interest in a newly discovered Pokémon.
"Good eye. Porygon-Z is Porygon's final evolution, evolved from Porygon2," Liu Qing said. "Now it's my turn to attack. Porygon-Z, Tri Attack!"
At Liu Qing's command, energy gathered at the tips of Porygon-Z's two arms and tail. The three spheres connected into a triangle of energy and shot toward Dewgong.
