Tetsuya briefly checked the information on his rewards. It was pretty much what Doggo had told him.
"Doggo, what does this Identity Modification Card do?"
[Oh, that? Exactly what it says. It lets you change your identity once.]
Doggo rubbed his chin as he spoke.
[Still, I don't think the name is quite right. Relationship Modification Card would be more appropriate. The identity it changes is your relationship with another person.
For example, aren't you and that guy enemies right now? You can use this card to change your identity from his enemy to his father.
Once the change is complete, he'll perceive you as his father.]
"Holy shit, that's badass!"
Tetsuya's eyes widened. This thing's effect was way more awesome than the other rewards.
"Then if I make myself the God of Ōtsutsuki's dad, won't I be invincible?"
[What are you thinking? You have to be close to the other person to use this Identity Modification Card. And after you use it, the change will only take effect if they don't notice anything unusual for an hour.]
"Uh, so it's that useless?"
Tetsuya immediately lost interest. He'd thought he'd drawn a god-tier item, but it turned out to be weak, with restrictions to boot.
[It's not completely useless. You could use it right now and make yourself that guy's dad. As for keeping him from noticing anything strange, that's even easier. Just pin him down and beat the hell out of him for an hour.]
Tetsuya tilted his head, then suddenly grinned.
"What's so fun about being his dad? Wouldn't that put me in the same generation as that old fart, the Sage of Six Paths? I've got to be at least one generation above him."
As he spoke, Tetsuya activated the Identity Modification Card, targeting Gō.
