"So this guy really is your grandson?"
Kakuzu looked Gō up and down after he returned with Tetsuya.
"You know, he really does look like you."
"Of course. How could my grandson not look like me? Isn't that right, Chiba Gō?"
Tetsuya grinned at Gō, who wore a miserable expression.
"All right, stop looking so glum. If you don't like being out here, I'll send you back to your little private room. Go get some rest if you have nothing to do."
Gō said nothing. He lowered his head and returned to the room Tetsuya had prepared for him.
Once he left, Kakuzu asked curiously.
"Come on, tell me exactly what happened on Hozuki Island. And what's the story with that Gō fellow?"
Kakuzu was dying to know. The moment Gō left, he eagerly pressed Tetsuya for the whole story.
Tetsuya gave Kakuzu a brief account of his experiences on the island. By the time he finished, Kakuzu could only marvel at how badass he was.
"That's our boss for you. You even managed to subdue a monster created by the Sage of Six Paths."

Tetsuya waved a hand, then asked.
"The Land of Grass's daimyo hasn't run off, has he?"
"Don't worry. I've been keeping an eye on him. He's still at the Daimyo's Mansion, waiting for news from Mui."
"Really? That's a relief."
Tetsuya nodded, then asked another question.
"Oh, right. How's Sakumo doing?"
"He's fine. He's just been staying in his room, not going anywhere. He's pretty worried about you, though. He came out this morning to ask how you were doing."
