"Boss Chiba."
Early that morning, Hanzo of the Salamander knocked on the door of Tetsuya's villa.
"Lord Rain Shadow! Well, well, what brings you here so early today? Have you had breakfast? If not, care to join me?"
Tetsuya opened the door and invited Hanzo of the Salamander inside.
At the same time, he noticed the wooden box Hanzo of the Salamander carried. It gave off a strong, strange smell, like far too much perfume had been sprayed on it, so overpoweringly fragrant that it had begun to stink.
What could need so much perfume to cover up its original smell?
"Haha, I've already eaten. Haven't you had breakfast yet, Boss Chiba? Then I suggest you hold off. I'm afraid you might throw it up in a moment."
"Oh? Why? Is it because of what's inside your box, Lord Rain Shadow?"
Tetsuya already had a pretty good guess about the box's contents. Most likely, it was some part of a human body.
The two sat down in the villa's main room, and Hanzo of the Salamander placed the box on the table.
Hanzo of the Salamander got straight to the point.
"Boss Chiba, someone has set their sights on you."
Tetsuya chuckled and waved a dismissive hand.
"Oh, Lord Rain Shadow, come now. Of course I know people have their sights on me. Ever since I went into business, I've encountered plenty of people who don't get along with me. They've tried every possible way to kill me, but here I am, alive and well.
"And I also know there's a place in the underworld called the Bounty Station. My head is on their bounty board."
"Haha, I underestimated you, Boss Chiba. I didn't expect you to know about the bounty on your head, let alone take it so calmly."
