Fuxi had no intention of killing him. Or rather, killing him would serve no purpose.
After all, this fellow was useful only as a captive.

He was not utterly shameless. Since they had treated him with such sincerity, if he failed to show some goodwill in return, he truly would have lived all his years for nothing.
