The Devil Race besieging the Women's Tribe knew nothing of this scene.
A river surrounded the entire Women's Tribe.
The Devil Race stood outside it.
The Devil Race leader here was named Athos.
"Damn the Women's Tribe! They're provoking us again?"
"These hateful bastards rely on this river and refuse to take us seriously at all."
"Whoever has something that can cross the river, whoever can help me, I'm willing to report to the Devil Ancestor and recommend them for a commander's post."
Athos's eyes burned with rage.
He had had enough. This place before him had held him up for an entire day and night.
They had exhausted every method and considered countless possibilities.
Yet they still had not found a way across the river.
They could not cross it on a wooden raft, and flying straight over it would strip them of all their magical power.
Most terrifying of all was the river water.
Anyone who came into contact with it would become pregnant.
Male or female, an embryo would form inside them.
As time passed, that embryo would gradually grow. That was why so many of the Devil Race had swollen bellies.
Athos was beginning to regret coming here.
He was now caught between advancing and retreating.
Without crossing the great river, he could not reach the Daughter Kingdom.
If he retreated now, with so many Devil Race warriors having touched the water, he feared these crazed devils would tear him to pieces unless he went to the Daughter Kingdom and found a solution.
It was his own fault for failing to make thorough preparations at the start.
After discovering that neither tools nor spells could get them across, he had chosen the most foolish method: swimming.
These fellows were not from any of the nearby races.
