By the time the Third Hokage finished his pipe, Shin Uchiha had already copied the contents of the Scroll of Seals into his mind, ready to study them at his leisure later.
Shin Uchiha rolled the Scroll of Seals back up and returned it to the Third Hokage. Without a word, the Third Hokage took the scroll and put it back in the secret room behind him.
When the Third Hokage came back out, Shin Uchiha dispensed with pleasantries and said bluntly, "Lord Third, sorry for the trouble, but please have copies made of all Konoha's ninjutsu and secret technique records and give them to me."
The Third Hokage gave Shin Uchiha a long look and replied, "I'll take care of it. Rest assured."
Shin Uchiha then chatted with the Third Hokage about Konoha's secrets and current circumstances. They did not spend too long on it before the Third Hokage dispelled the barrier he had erected earlier.
After the barrier came down, Shin Uchiha paused. Looking at the Third Hokage's aging face, he said, "Finally, Lord Third, please summon Advisor Shimura Danzō."
At Shin Uchiha's words, the Third Hokage's already aged face seemed to grow several years older in an instant. He fell uncharacteristically silent for a moment before finally saying in a strained voice, "Very well. I'll summon Danzo now."
Having said that, the Third Hokage produced a cord from somewhere and gave it a gentle tug. A short while later, someone Shin Uchiha had never seen before, dressed like an Anbu operative, appeared before the Third Hokage using the Body Flicker Technique.
Looking at the person before him, the Third Hokage ordered, "Go and fetch Danzo. I have something to discuss with him."
The Anbu operative left using the Body Flicker Technique without saying a word.
Once he
