Background / History

Raised from childhood as the Nuwa Clan’s designated heir, Wa Lord received rigid instruction in knowledge, conduct, and obedience to the Family Elders. Her succession required surviving the Dragon Severing Platform’s Trial of Living Spirits; failure would have meant death and the title passing to another candidate. 21

After meeting Shirou Emiya, she became intensely interested in his explanations of Magic Circuits and Refining Essence into Qi. She viewed his magecraft as the beginning of a new route to immortality and godhood. 12 Using the Dragon Severing Platform as leverage, she forced the conservative Elders to surrender their remaining authority and began redirecting the Zhou Family from traditional industries toward advanced manufacturing, artifact forging, talismans, and technological research. 14
