Five Fire Wolves, wiped out!
"Whew..."
Zhou Fan was breathing a little hard.
Although he had won, he had still used up quite a bit of spiritual energy.
He was only at First Tier, 3-star himself, so his spiritual energy was limited.
Both the Fire Release he had used earlier and the Sharingan Genjutsu he had used at the end had consumed a fair amount of his spiritual energy.
Fortunately, he had won in the end.
Zhou Fan retrieved his phone.
By now, the viewers in his livestream had long since gone wild.
"Holy shit! He won??"
"A total victory, one against five... Streamer, you're freaking amazing!"
"Badass!"
"Is the streamer cheating? I demand the referee check!"
"That was insane!"
Not all of the action had been captured, and with the camera fixed in place, Zhou Fan couldn't possibly have stayed in the center of the frame throughout the fight.
As a result, quite a few parts of the fight hadn't made it onto the livestream.
But the viewers could still follow the overall situation.
Most importantly, there was the result-Zhou Fan had fought five opponents alone and won!
The process had a few flaws.
But the result was perfect!
"Streamer, you're so handsome! I love you!"
"Streamer, streamer, why are you so strong?"
"Streamer, streamer, do you have any secrets to getting stronger that you can share?"
The livestream chat had gone crazy.
Naturally, so had his emotion points.
[Shock +1] [Shock +1] [Shock +1]
Each person generated very few emotion points.
But with enough people, the total was still pretty impressive.
Just like that, Zhou Fan had gained over two thousand emotion points.
The livestream's viewer count had already passed 2,000.
His follower count had also passed 600.
"Did everyone see that? I've completed the challenge!" Zhou Fan sat down off to the side.
"Streamer, you've already got over 600 followers. Can you try taking on six at once now?"
"If you get 1,000 followers, can you take on seven at once?"
"I want to see you fight ten at once. How many followers would that take?"
"Streamer, if I send you a rocket gift, can you fight twenty at once?"
Most of the comments now were asking to see Zhou Fan keep challenging larger groups of mutant beasts.
Zhou Fan immediately felt a headache coming on.
Sure enough, viewers just wanted to watch streamers suffer.
"Brothers and sisters, I'm completely burned out for today."
"Taking on five at once was already my limit."
"How about this? If my follower count passes 3,000, I'll try taking on six at once. Sound good?" Zhou Fan said.
Whether he could win was his problem.
All that mattered was getting the viewers worked up.
"Holy shit! Is the streamer planning another stunt?"
"If you're making that promise, we've definitely got to push your follower count past 3,000!"
Just then, a paid comment was automatically pinned at the top.
Invincible Purity King: "Streamer, it's not fair to pick on those First Tier, 2-star mutant beasts. Next time, do you dare to challenge only mutant beasts at your own level?"
Why were more and more people egging him on?
Still, they were just shooting the breeze, so Zhou Fan replied casually.
"That's doable. Just follow me, and feel free to tell me what challenges you want to see."
Invincible Purity King: "Next time, you can enable the livestream's 'Mutant Beast Level Identification' feature and check their strength before fighting. That's the only way to make sure the challenge is legit."
This person had sent another paid comment.
The others immediately chimed in.
"I agree with Invincible. Enable the livestream's level identification feature so we can see those mutant beasts' actual levels. That's only fair."
Zhou Fan didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
He had told them they could make requests, but why were they actually doing it?
"Fine, fine. I'll give it a try tomorrow."
"That's about it for today's stream. Remember to follow me. Bye!"
Zhou Fan ended the livestream.
He had streamed for an hour.
His follower count now stood at 999.
The livestream's peak concurrent viewer count had been 2,026.
He had earned 2,400 emotion points from this stream.
That was a pretty good haul.
The main issue was that the livestream had too few viewers.
With more viewers, he could earn even more emotion points.
"I've only got a little over eight thousand emotion points right now. If I stream again tomorrow, I should be able to save up ten thousand."
"Once I've got ten thousand emotion points, I'll do a prize draw. Sweet!"
After digging the crystal cores out of the Fire Wolves, Zhou Fan didn't rush back to the city.
Instead, he wandered around the area, killed a few unlucky mutant beasts, and collected all their crystal cores.
Including the mutant beasts he had killed earlier.
He had killed a total of nine First Tier, 2-star mutant beasts today.
And one First Tier, 3-star mutant beast.
That was plenty of training!
Mutant Beast Forest.
Elsewhere.
Lin Qianqian faced three First Tier, 2-star mutant beasts alone.
Her expression was calm, without a flicker of emotion.
Sheets of paper floated around her body, forming a barrier.
"Roar!"
The three mutant beasts attacked at the same time.
With a light wave of Lin Qianqian's hand, all the sheets of paper around her flew out.
The sheets might have looked light and flimsy, as though they couldn't do much damage.
But under her control, they swiftly wrapped around the mutant beasts' bodies, sealing their mouths and noses.
Unable to breathe properly, the mutant beasts immediately began to struggle.
"Paper Blizzard: Sword."
The sheets folded themselves into shuriken and shot out, spinning at high speed.
Slash!
The Paper Shuriken sliced through the three mutant beasts' bodies with ease!
"Roar!"
A mutant beast hiding behind her seized its chance and immediately lunged at Lin Qianqian from the rear!
Without even turning her head, Lin Qianqian had countless sheets of paper link together into an enormous paper dragon, which swallowed the ambushing mutant beast whole!
Then every sheet became like a blade, slicing the mutant beast's body to pieces!
"I'm getting more and more proficient with my Divine Paper Technique."
"I killed six First Tier, 2-star mutant beasts today. Zhou Fan seems to have left the city to hunt too, but he probably hasn't killed as many as I have," Lin Qianqian murmured.
By now, she had unconsciously started comparing herself to Zhou Fan.
"That's enough hunting for today."
She finished her hunt and returned to the city.
Back home.
Lin Qianqian took off her shoes at the door, removed her little white socks, and put on slippers before going inside.
She had just lain down on the sofa when several messages arrived on her phone in quick succession.
She checked her phone. They were from Li Mengyao.
"Why did Mengyao send me so many messages?"
Lin Qianqian opened the messages.
Li Mengyao: "Holy shit! Xixi, hurry up and watch this video!"
"Zhou Fan livestreamed a monster challenge out in the wild this afternoon. He actually fought five at once and won!"
There was a video below.
"Zhou Fan?"
Lin Qianqian picked up on the key name.
Then she opened the video below.
It showed Zhou Fan's livestream from that afternoon, when he had challenged five mutant beasts alone. Someone had recorded the screen.
Although the footage was chaotic and incomplete.
She could still see that Zhou Fan had indeed beaten five opponents alone.
Lin Qianqian frowned. "This guy... how did he get stronger again?"
