Summoning Technique

"Ahem, ahem."

Seeing Yui's gaze grow increasingly hostile, Jiraiya sheepishly looked away.

"By the way, Yui, were you practicing ninjutsu?"

Jiraiya asked.

Yui was a little speechless. What else would she be doing at a training ground?

She nodded.

"Ahem, if you're practicing ninjutsu, I could give you a few pointers!"

Jiraiya said, planting his hands on his hips.

Yui wondered what ninjutsu he could teach her.

"Hmm..." Still, Yui did not refuse and readily agreed.

"But let's leave it for another day!" Yui said. "We can do it when I have time."

Was he kidding? If I use any more chakra, this Shadow Clone will disappear.

My original is still waiting for me to get her out!

"Oh... is that so?"

Jiraiya felt a little disappointed.

"By the way, Jiraiya, there's something I want to ask you."

Before leaving, Yui asked the question she had wanted answered all along.

"Can the Summoning Technique transport a Shadow Clone?"

Jiraiya thought for a moment upon hearing her question.

"I don't know either," Jiraiya replied. "If you want to summon something, I imagine you'd need a contract."

"Without a contract, it probably wouldn't work."

Yui nodded.

Do I need a Summoning Contract? But with my original trapped in there, how am I supposed to inscribe one?

"Thanks. I'll be going, then." After thanking Jiraiya, Yui left the training ground.

Once Yui had gone, Jiraiya prepared to leave as well.

As for the prophecy, he had no intention of telling anyone else about it.

After all, it was his own business.

"Jiraiya, if there's nothing else, I'll head back to Mount Myōboku!" the little toad at Jiraiya's feet said.

"All right, go ahead!"

With that, the little toad formed a release seal with both hands and vanished with a pop.

Looking around the deserted training ground, Jiraiya left as well.

As soon as Yui returned to the laboratory, she heard Little White Mouse calling.

"Master, Master, let me out!"

Yui was rather happy to see that Little White Mouse had woken up in its cage.

"Oh, you're finally awake!" Yui said excitedly as she picked it up.

Now that Little White Mouse was awake and she had acquired the Summoning Technique, she could move on to the next step.

Looking at Little White Mouse in her palm, she recalled the little toad she had just seen. In an instant, the issue of the Summoning Contract was resolved.

"Little White Mouse, do you know about Summoning Contracts?"

At Yui's question, Little White Mouse tilted its head.

"Summoning Contracts?" it asked in confusion. "What are those?"

"You don't know about Summoning Contracts?" Yui frowned. "Then what kind of contract did you make with me before?"

She was puzzled. Little White Mouse had made a contract with her just a few days ago, but it actually wasn't a Summoning Contract? What kind of contract was it, then?

Hearing this, Little White Mouse held its head and began to think.

Only after a long while did it answer, "In my memories, it's called a bloodline contract."

"A bloodline contract?"

What kind of contract is that? I've never heard of it. It never even appeared in the original story.

Still, I wonder if it works for summoning. Since it's a contract, it should work, right?

Her gaze returned to Little White Mouse.

"All right, let's give it a try!"

Before Little White Mouse could react, it was back inside the iron cage.

"Master..." Little White Mouse looked at her with pitiful eyes.

Yui felt a little helpless at the sight.

"I'm just going to test the Summoning Technique."

Yui closed her eyes, recalling the seals the toad had formed.

"Boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram." She formed the hand seals.

"Summoning Technique!"

She slapped her palm against the floor. Instantly, rings of symbols appeared around it.

Pop!

As the white smoke cleared, Little White Mouse appeared in front of Yui.

"Huh?" Little White Mouse was still rather confused. How had it suddenly gotten out of the cage?

Yui grew excited at the result. She had not expected it to actually work.

Now she would not need to make another Summoning Contract.

She looked down at Little White Mouse on the floor again.

"Little White Mouse, can you use ninjutsu?"

Hearing Yui's question, Little White Mouse turned around, still puzzled.

"Do you mean the kind that uses chakra?"

"Yes, exactly." Yui nodded, her eyes fixed on Little White Mouse as she eagerly awaited its answer.

"Yes, I should be able to use ninjutsu."

"But..." Seeing Yui's expectant gaze, Little White Mouse suddenly felt a little dejected. "But I don't know how to use any ninjutsu."

"Really?" Yui was ecstatic at Little White Mouse's answer. Unaware of how it felt, she scooped it up and planted a loud kiss on it.

"Mmph..." Little White Mouse was left utterly dazed by Yui's actions, its little face beginning to flush.

"Master..." It was almost suffocating in Yui's embrace.

"Ahem." Noticing Little White Mouse's unusual reaction, Yui finally calmed down. "Sorry about that, Little White Mouse."

It took a long while for Little White Mouse to recover.

Once Little White Mouse had recovered, Yui spoke seriously.

"Little White Mouse, I want you to learn the ninjutsu I just used to summon you."

"Then summon my original out of that room."

"Can you do that?"

Yui looked at Little White Mouse hopefully.

Hearing this, Little White Mouse agreed without the slightest hesitation.

"Yes, I'm sure I can."

Yui nodded at its answer.

"All right, I'll teach you now."

"The hand seals are boar, dog, bird, monkey, ram."

The Hyuga Clan.

"Water Release: Multiple Water Extremes!"

A ring of white spheres hovered behind Yui.

"I finally did it."

This was the result of Yui's further research into the Water Release technique she had developed earlier.

The previous ninjutsu had been called Water Release: Water Extreme, so naturally, she called this newly developed version Multiple Water Extremes.

However, the water droplets of Multiple Water Extremes were not as powerful as a single Water Extreme.

It was a weakened version of Water Extreme. Though less powerful, it made up for that in numbers, and it only required as much chakra as a single Water Extreme.

Hovering behind her, they looked like Truth-Seeking Orbs.

She still knew far too few ninjutsu and Taijutsu techniques.

For Taijutsu, she only had the Hyuga Clan's Gentle Fist and Eight Trigrams Palm. She had no opportunity to learn anything else.

As for ninjutsu, aside from the two techniques she had developed recently, all she had were the Three Basic Techniques and Shadow Clone.
