With a single step, he appeared behind Yui in an instant.
"So fast..." she gasped softly.
Before she could react, he seized both her hands.
"Who are you, and why were you spying on me?"
A white short sword pressed against Yui's neck.
Lowering her eyes to the white blade at her throat, Yui felt a flicker of surprise.
"You're Hatake Sakumo?" Her startling words made him pause.
She suddenly caught sight of a lock of white hair, making her even more certain of his identity.
And there was that unmistakable short sword, too.
"Who are you? How do you know me?" Hatake Sakumo eased his grip slightly, giving her room to speak.
"Let go of my hand first. I'll show you something," she said with a smile.
Hatake Sakumo frowned at her words.
Still, he did as she asked.
He released one of Yui's hands.
Then she drew a black short sword from inside her clothes.
"That's Wave Breaker?" Hatake Sakumo exclaimed.
His expression immediately hardened.
"Where did you get that sword?" His hand tightened, pressing the edge closer to Yui's neck.
"Urgh..." Feeling the sharp pressure against her throat, Yui froze for a moment. She hadn't expected him to react like this.
Of course. She looked nothing like she had before.
In Hatake Sakumo's eyes, this sword should have been in the hands of a little girl named Yui Hyuga.
"Uh... here's what happened," Yui explained. "A friend left this sword with me."
"She said a white-haired ninja named Hatake Sakumo gave it to her as a gift."
"When I saw your hair, your name just slipped out."
"I didn't expect it to actually be you."
