Louis had just stepped out of the laboratory when he abruptly stopped.
He raised an eyebrow, as though he had suddenly remembered something important.
"Wait..." he murmured, looking back at Silco, who was still putting away potion bottles. "I almost forgot what I came for."
He turned back, walked between the potion racks, and called to the alchemical genius bent over his work. "Silco, I actually came to see you today for more than the knight potion."
Silco looked up and blinked in confusion. "Not for that? Your timing was so perfect, I thought your nose was sharper than the laboratory cat's."
Louis cleared his throat and said, a little embarrassed, "I wanted you to help me make something... well, something special."
"Oh?" Silco perked up, tilting his head and folding his arms. "What kind of thing? A weapon? A potion? A Magic Power device? Or a Demon Explosive Bomb!"
"None of those." Louis paused, seemingly weighing his words, then said slowly, "I want to make something that blooms with light in the night sky.
"Preferably in lots of colors, shaped like... flowers, bursting open in the air and then slowly drifting down.
"But not a real explosion. Just something... for celebrations."
Silco's expression grew increasingly strange, his brow twisting into a question mark. "You mean... it bursts, gives off light, makes noise, and doesn't hurt anyone?
"Why does that sound like... a weakened Demon Explosive Bomb? Are you planning to blow up a few birds to celebrate during a siege?"
"It's not an explosive!" Louis waved his hands repeatedly. "It won't kill anyone or set houses on fire. It's... beautiful and romantic, something you put into the night sky, like a huge flower blooming overhead.
