One of Leonard Mitchell's colleagues in the Red Gloves had tracked an evil spirit here. After dealing with it, he had discovered these ruins through a cave exposed by a recent collapse.

That Red Gloves member had noticed more evil spirits in the ruins, so he had written a report detailing their approximate location and the situation. After leaving it temporarily in the care of the Church of the Evernight Goddess in the West Suburbs, he had entered the ruins to eliminate the evil spirits. When he failed to return after three or four days, the church in the West Suburbs immediately reported the matter to its superiors. The case file eventually reached Leonard, who was assigned to conduct the rescue.

But everyone knew that, with about a week already gone by, calling it a recovery of the body or the characteristic would have been more accurate than a rescue.

Leonard glanced at "Raphael and the others," who had suddenly appeared in the corridor, then withdrew his gaze and continued examining the murals.

"Aurora Order?"

Raphael had already used the white jade orb's ability to confirm that the man before him was a Sequence 5.

As he prepared to leave, he controlled the foremost iron corpse and made it speak. "Yes."

Then he asked, "An official Beyonder?"

Leonard gave a hum of assent. "There are traces of ritual magic performed by a Rose Bishop up ahead. I can take you there."

Raphael asked through the iron corpse, "And then... then I take you inside the ruins?"

Leonard smoothed his tousled hair and smiled at Raphael. "Very clever."

The Sleepless pathway was not particularly adept at operations such as opening seals. Leonard had not asked the Old Grandpa inside him for help, either. He wanted to look around the ruins first.
