Raphael boarded the carriage. Klein paused, then asked, "Just to discuss an investment?"

Raphael spread his hands. "What else would I have come to discuss?"

"I'm not particularly interested in investments right now," Klein said with a smile.

He had thought Raphael needed his help with something, which would give him an opportunity to bring the man aboard the Fool's ship. Besides, he did not have much money left himself.

After hearing Raphael's answer, Klein was initially a little disappointed, but he soon seemed to realize something. "If there's nothing else, this will be our last meeting, because I'll be leaving Backlund soon."
