Raphael returned to his apartment and considered the task Dwayne Dantès had just assigned him.
There was no urgency to the task. Raphael planned to have his subordinates gather some information on the "socialite" Sophia before making his move.
As for whether this would provoke the Demoness Sect and bring endless trouble, Raphael was not worried. He would merely be attacking a Demoness of Pleasure; the main conflict would still be between whoever stood behind this Demoness and Dwayne Dantès.
As long as he left in time, the Demoness Sect would not set its sights on him.
The next day, Raphael sought out Carter and Wagner in turn and asked them to discreetly gather some information on Sophia.
Then Raphael went to the Blue Parrot Bar. He did not enter himself, but controlled an Iron Corpse to hand the bartender a letter, asking him in Hale Crude's name to deliver it to a gentleman named Leonard Mitchell.
Raphael's letter was a reminder to Leonard that he had already discovered the secret Leonard carried.
Only after giving him this reminder could Raphael feel comfortable continuing to deal with Leonard without worrying about being arrested by him. In Backlund's western outskirts, it was midnight.
Leonard Mitchell gazed from afar at the castle ruins on the hill. He and Raphael had previously entered the Fourth Epoch ruins from there.
Rumble...
Suddenly, a muffled boom came from within the hill. Then the entire hill collapsed, completely burying the castle ruins halfway up its slope.
Just as Leonard had expected, after he reported the ruins to the Church, Archbishop Anthony Stevenson personally took action and completely buried their entrance.
Looking at the collapsed hillside, Leonard thought, I wonder if that Grade 1 Sealed Artifact is still inside the ruins?
It should still be in there.
