Raphael was testing the supernatural functions of the "Dark Hut." He casually connected his spirituality to a flame before him, and in an instant, he saw a middle-aged man in the darkness.

The middle-aged man was hideously ugly. His eyes bulged like a goldfish's, his nose was crooked, and his left cheek protruded as though a peculiar tumor had grown there. He was praying devoutly in a language Raphael could not understand.

Every sound the middle-aged man uttered seemed steeped in evil. It was the sort of voice a devil used to beguile a good person-pleasant to the ear, yet wicked.

Raphael frowned and asked the "Oldest One," "Is there an automatic translation function?"

"No," the "Oldest One" said. "But I can provide you with the relevant knowledge.

"Hmm, this is an ancient demonic language, once spoken in the 'Demon Monarch's' kingdom."

Raphael nodded. "All right, give me the knowledge of the language, then."

He opened his "consciousness gate" to the "Oldest One." In an instant, a new language and script appeared in his mind. The script was clearly crude and rudimentary, yet the language was permeated with a sense of evil.

Raphael felt that merely reading something written in this script would probably make him hear a devil whispering in his ear.

Then Raphael closed his "consciousness gate."

Previously, whether Raphael sealed off his consciousness had made little difference. The "Oldest One" could breach his mental barrier with ease.

But things were different now. Although Raphael's resistance would still crumble at the first blow, it could buy him time to undo the Seals on the "Celestial Worthy" and "God Almighty."

This had already become an important part of his deterrent.

A second later, Raphael understood the middle-aged man's words. The man was devoutly begging the "Demon Monarch" for help.
