The Oldest One explained to Raphael, "Klein is Dwayne Dantès."
Raphael exclaimed from the bottom of his heart, "Holy shit!"
Now he was certain that this was a demigod of the Seer Pathway. Dwayne Dantès really was just one of the man's identities.
The Oldest One continued, "Amon wants to steal Sefirah Castle, but he can't act directly. If he enters Sefirah Castle just like that, the Celestial Worthy's consciousness might awaken within him to some degree.
"So Amon is looking for an opportunity to steal Sefirah Castle while leaving Klein with the fate of the Celestial Worthy reviving within him."
Raphael chuckled. "That's a pretty shitty trick."
Then he realized something. "Are the two of them about to make their moves nearby?"
"That's right," the Oldest One said. "The Evernight Goddess is preparing to help. Since she holds the authority of concealment, Amon hasn't noticed her assistance yet."
Raphael asked again, "How does the Evernight Goddess intend to help?"
"By killing Klein."
Raphael froze. Are you sure that counts as helping?
But he immediately remembered that the Seer Pathway's Sequence 2, Miracle Invoker, had the ability to resurrect. Perhaps Klein could only escape after being killed.
Just then, Raphael saw two figures rapidly approaching through the darkness in the distance.
Raphael immediately withdrew his gaze. Just a glance out of the corner of his eye had been enough for him to recognize one of them as Amon.
Even using True Vision could easily attract Amon's notice.
Raphael then hurried to study the Giant King's youngest son. He knew he certainly couldn't beat the Evernight Goddess, who possessed the Death God's Uniqueness, to the prize, but she couldn't possibly take this enormous corpse away.
