He had disguised both previous victims' deaths as natural deaths. Even their families had failed to notice any signs of murder.
As a result, this Serial Murder Case had not attracted enough attention or generated feedback such as fear.
That was the main reason his potion was digesting so slowly.
Next, Raphael would have to try committing an unmistakable murder. This case needed to attract enough attention right from the start, ideally making the papers after the very first killing.
Once the newspapers spread the story, the feedback would surely come surging in like a tide!
However, Raphael had no intention of abandoning the Mechanic Company. He had already begun making sacrifices to a high-ranking devil, and a devil's appetite generally only grew. He needed a long-term channel for obtaining high-quality offerings.
The Mechanic Company was an excellent option.
He could digest his potion through Serial Murder Cases that made an impact on society while secretly supplying the high-ranking devil with enough high-quality offerings.
Developing both tracks in parallel would best serve Raphael's interests.
As he pondered this, Raphael noticed how late it was and hurriedly used Meditation to fall asleep. He still had to see Maric early the next morning.
Although Maric was a Wraith and possessed the characteristic Raphael needed, and Raphael was now confident he could kill him after strengthening his equipment, he had no intention of
