When Raphael saw Audrey beckoning to him, he quickly shut the door, walked over, and sat down.
The faces wearing strange smiles turned back toward the stage, as though they had confirmed that Raphael was merely a latecomer to the audience.
After Raphael sat down, Audrey quietly thanked him for coming to help.
Raphael waved a hand to tell her not to mention it, then asked softly, "Do you know whose dream this is?" Audrey, who remained just as beautiful in the dream, replied in a low voice, "I explored several rooms. The most dangerous one seemed to have two Angels fighting in it. I nearly got caught up in their battle.
"Fortunately, it was only the dream's owner's impression of that battle, and I have the ability to move through dreams. That was how I managed to escape.
"I think this must be an Angel's dream, placed-or sealed-inside this oil painting by a powerful force."
She paused, then added, "The image on the surface of the painting may be the most direct manifestation of the dream."
Raphael nodded. He had initially wondered whether this might be the Annihilation Demonic Wolf's dream. But after speaking with Audrey, he recalled that those ancient gods had been twisted and insane. Presumably, their dreams would be equally twisted and insane.
From what he had seen so far, these dreams possessed a basic sense of order and showed little distortion.
Perhaps this really was an Angel's dream. That Angel had most likely seen the Annihilation Demonic Wolf, as well as the dream world created by that ancient god, which would explain the lyrics the "sketches" had sung earlier.
The opera onstage was wonderful, and the audience frequently erupted into enthusiastic applause.
