Audrey immediately used "Hypnosis" on herself and Raphael. Only then did the fear in their hearts vanish, keeping them from collapsing to the ground without even the courage to get up.
Raphael frowned. Clearly, the female shadow was also at the demigod level. At the very least, she could use the demigod abilities of the Sleepless pathway.
Still, Raphael was not too worried. Although he could not contact his "main account," the Oldest One was still inside him, so his and Audrey's safety was assured.
Raphael simply did not want to owe the Oldest One too much, so he would not ask Him for help unless he had no other choice.
The situation seemed extremely dire. With the female shadow suppressing them, the human and demonic wolf statues also leaped down from their stone platforms and rushed toward them.
But Raphael noticed that the shadow by the throne had sat down on it and showed no intention of continuing to attack.
At that moment, Audrey said, "As long as we don't try to escape, the shadow on the throne won't attack us."
This was the judgment she had reached through her spiritual perception and observations of the battlefield.
By then, the demonic wolves had charged right up to them. Raphael immediately entered a state that combined "Wraith" and "Devil." Since Audrey was beside him, he fought his targets in his Wraith form.
Raphael first unleashed a Wraith Shriek, an area-of-effect skill that made most of the demonic wolf and human statues freeze briefly in place.
These statues differed from normal people in that they had no spirit bodies. However, Wraith Shriek had a very broad range of effects. Even the black light controlling the statues shuddered under the shriek, causing half the statues to stall as though they were lagging.
