Those who knew the inside story knew that the Red Angel and the Angel of Fate were old colleagues, both First Generation Members of Rose Redemption.
A meeting between figures of that caliber meant something major must have happened!
They were right. It had happened the previous year, when the Angel of Fate, Ouroboros, had been affected by "0-08" and the desperate gamble of Ince Zangwill, a defected bishop of the Church of the Evernight Goddess. He had appeared in Resurrection Square on the Southern Continent and fought Adam.
At the time, his spirituality had noticed that the Red Angel's evil spirit was possessing Ince. Later, someone else had sealed the evil spirit inside the corpse of a Gatekeeper and sent him into the Netherworld.
Spark, a member of Rose Redemption, looked surprised when he heard the Angel of Fate's words.
No one needed to explain any further. He knew that something must now be wrong with the Iron and Blood Cross Order, and that even he himself might be affected.
After all, no new Red Priest had appeared yet. Even though the Red Angel had become an evil spirit, weaker than an ordinary angel, the symbolism he had once embodied remained.
In other words, he was still a high-ranking existence of the Red Priest pathway and could exert a certain influence over low-sequence members through the connection between Beyonder characteristics and symbolism.
