Raphael was discussing a plan to assassinate Botis, the Saint of Secrets, with the two ladies.
To Raphael, Botis was no obstacle. In fact, he was a good superior, but Raphael did not particularly care whether he lived or died. If he had to kill him, so be it.
Or rather, apart from himself, there were very few people whose lives Raphael cared about.
The simpler an assassination plan like this was, the better, so the three of them settled on its outline after only a brief discussion.
Raphael's part was to confirm that the gathering's host was Botis, the Saint of Secrets, and to hold off Kisma, Saint Tenebrous, once the operation began.
In return, Raphael would receive a share of the spoils and, once Fors became a demigod, help of equivalent value on one occasion.
Fors had already digested half of her Traveler potion and would probably advance to Sequence 4 in the latter half of the year. The time when she could fulfill her promise was not too far off.
Once their business was settled, Fors visibly relaxed and casually asked Raphael, "What sort of trouble have you run into? Is there anything we can help with?"
"No," Raphael said. "I won't tell you about it for now, in case it brings trouble down on you."
They could discuss it once the matter was resolved, because Raphael had also obtained some of the Soaring Heaven Hall's basic cultivation methods through a trade with the Western Continent. By telling them about this, he could use Xio's connections to trade with the royal family.
