The "Silent Disciple," Erlin, made no attempt to reason with Sharron. Without any warning, he attacked.
That was because Erlin spoke even less than Sharron did.
As Sharron dodged the razor-sharp sheets of paper, Erlin opened his mouth in the Spirit World and uttered a vicious curse.
However, the curse targeted only Sharron. Erlin knew very well that if Raphael died from a curse, his spirit body would suffer severe damage. Even Spirit Channeling might not yield the information he wanted.
Sharron immediately moved farther away from Raphael as well, keeping him from being caught in the curse's effects.
Then the clothes of the lady with the clear, vacant gaze suddenly became tattered. Disgusting tumors sprouted all over her body, giving off the foul stench of festering pus. This was Erlin's curse!

She stared at the space behind Raphael. An ice-crystal shortsword suddenly appeared in her hand, and she plunged it into her own chest.
Suddenly, a man in his fifties with gray hair and an utterly cold expression tumbled out of the Spirit World behind Raphael. It was Erlin.
A frost-covered wound appeared on his chest, in precisely the same spot where Sharron had stabbed herself.
Raphael hurried toward the window, hoping to leave the study and escape the fallout of the two demigods' battle.
Crash!
The instant he smashed through the window, illusory figures appeared on two shards of
