Audrey arrived at the Haunted Manor, where she and Raphael had often met before, at the time they had agreed upon.
Unlike before, however, Raphael had now bought the manor and made it his "Haunted House."
So this time, Audrey did not find Raphael in the courtyard. Almost reflexively, she interpreted his thinking: Before, I just thought this manor was fun, so chatting in the courtyard was enough. But now that I own it, please come inside the villa to talk.
With that in mind, Audrey entered the villa. There was no one inside either, but a puppet on the living room windowsill caught her attention.
The entire living room was empty, and dust lay everywhere after so long without anyone tending to it.
Yet the puppet looked very clean, as did the windowsill around it.
As a Saint of the Spectator pathway, she naturally noticed this at once.
Just then, the puppet seemed to sense Audrey's gaze. It raised its head slightly and spoke in a little boy's voice. "Good afternoon, beautiful miss."
"Good afternoon." Audrey had already recognized Raphael imitating a young boy's voice. As she spoke with a smile, her pupils turned golden. Sure enough, she saw the ghostlike Raphael manipulating the puppet with his hands.
Realizing he had been discovered, Raphael tossed the puppet onto the windowsill. "I'm done playing."
"Keep going!" Audrey hurriedly said. "Just pretend I didn't see you."
She thought Raphael's way of talking to her through a puppet was rather interesting.
Raphael waved a hand. "Ah, it's no fun anymore."
Audrey quickly deactivated her Spirit Vision. "Now I can't see you. Go on. Really, keep going."
Putting on a reluctant air while secretly delighted, Raphael resumed manipulating the puppet. "Beautiful miss, what can I do for you?"
