Under Raphael's leadership, the pilgrimage procession passed the previous day's ruins and the Giant Skeleton, which stood dozens of meters tall, the next day.
Although the Oracle had remained silent after returning, Saint Bock, who had accompanied him to scout ahead, gave a rough account of what had happened.
Bock had seen very little, however. Shortly after the Oracle entered the church, a brilliant light had shone from within. Then the zombified youngest son of the Giant King had torn the glowing church apart. Bock had been unable to help and could only retreat into the distance.
Later, an enormous phantom of light had appeared. Bock had been unable to remain standing and had prostrated himself on the ground. After the phantom disappeared, the Oracle had soon found him.
Although Bock's account was incomplete, everyone still gained some sense of how fierce the scouting expedition's battle had been, and how high a level it had involved.
The last time they encountered an angel-level monster, Amon had influenced their perceptions, leaving them with little sense of what had happened. This time was different. The skeleton, dozens of meters tall, stood right there, and everyone appreciated the benefits of having a god and an Oracle protecting them.
Their faith in the Lord of Evil Desires therefore grew ever more devout, and their respect for the Oracle deepened.
The rest of the journey passed without incident. On the thirteenth day, the pilgrimage procession could faintly make out the Giant King's Court.
In the dim Forsaken Land of the Gods, this divine kingdom shrouded in eternal twilight stood out starkly.
But most of the pilgrims were low-sequence Beyonders, and there were many elderly people and children among them. Even after sighting the Giant King's Court, they still took two days to reach Afternoon Town.
