The Astral World looked rather different from the Spirit World.
The backdrop of the Spirit World felt dim and hazy. His field of vision seemed broad, yet, paradoxically, he could not see very far.
The backdrop of the Astral World, however, was a pitch-black expanse of stars. It looked distant and unfathomably deep, like outer space, without gravity or direction.
Most importantly, there were no points of reference. At least the Spirit World had a few.
Without the ability bestowed by the "Supernova Dominator" and the markers provided by that deity, Raphael would have completely lost his bearings after spending even a short time here.
Honestly, the ability the "Supernova Dominator" had given him this time had been an enormous help. Without it, although Raphael could enter the Astral World as an angel, he had no ability to travel through it freely. Who knew how many years reaching his destination would have taken?
At that speed, he might as well risk advancing without a ritual.
Once he reached his destination, Raphael became cautious instead. He had never trusted the "Supernova Dominator" from the outset. If this turned out to be that deity's lair, with the other half of the "Supernova Dominator" here as well, things would certainly get interesting.
Still, Raphael had seriously considered that possibility. He was an angel now, after all, and could use the power of the Dark Hut to quickly attract the Mother Tree of Desire. He was confident he could escape amid the ensuing chaos.
After carefully exploring the area and confirming that there were no signs of particularly high-level beyonder characteristics, he quietly approached that
