Raphael had not really wanted to accompany Kaven Thomas to the doctor. Although he did not care much about his reputation, accompanying someone to seek treatment for a sexually transmitted disease still felt awkward.
More importantly, he and Caven were not that close, and he could not be bothered with Caven's messes.
But Caven had come to his door in a carriage and promised to tell Raphael a few things about the Aurora Order.
Raphael had already received word from Mr. C that, since he had helped Caven resolve a problem, he would be introduced to the Aurora Order's other members in Backlund tomorrow. He wanted to learn more about the Aurora Order beforehand, which was why he had agreed to come along.
Come to think of it, the Aurora Order's practice of introducing its members to one another was completely different from that of other secret organizations. Other secret organizations tried to keep their members in isolated chains of contact. Even the Rose School, notorious for its madness, did this.
The Aurora Order, however, required its senior and mid-ranking members to know one another.
Only after chatting with Caven in the carriage did Raphael learn that this was not because the Aurora Order was excessively arrogant or insane. Only its members in Backlund did this.
Caven did not know exactly why.
Raphael did not speculate wildly, either. Instead, he moved on to other topics with Caven.
He only stopped talking after extracting all the information Caven knew.
