After learning the location of Kabuto Yakushi's lair from Sakura, Naruto set out with Konan for the first time in a long while.
Jiraiya had returned from the dead some days ago, and Konan had been looking after his daily needs.
Now that Jiraiya had adjusted to life in Amegakure, he no longer needed Konan's company every day.
