By the time the meeting in Spacetime ended, it was late at night outside.
Amegakure at night was washed in cold hues. Beneath the curtain of rain, only a handful of scattered lights remained lit.
Whoosh!
Amid the relentless patter of rain, a sudden rush of wind rang out. A figure darted between the high walls, disregarded Amegakure's barrier entirely, and arrived outside a cave on the Back Mountain!
The cave was dark and deep, its mouth gaping in the night as though it meant to swallow life itself.
With his back to the night, the visitor was shrouded in a dark gray raincoat!
"You came." Dim candlelight drifted from the cave entrance as a tall man in black robes emerged. His hood concealed his features, and an air of mystery and power surrounded him. Looking at the man in the gray raincoat, he asked in a low voice, "The Anbu patrols didn't spot you, did they?"
"Heh." The man in the gray raincoat spoke with supreme confidence. "Who do you think I am? Coming and going from this village is like walking through my own home."
"Hmph, that's true enough..." the black-robed man murmured before turning around. "Follow me!"
He raised a candlestick and headed into the cave, with the raincoated man close behind.
After an unknown stretch of walking, the cramped passage suddenly opened up, revealing a large, empty chamber!
"Here's the place..."
The black-robed man walked to the center of the chamber, set down the candlestick, and took several almost ceremonial steps backward before turning to face the raincoated man.
"This is a secret base I built right under everyone's noses. Our grand plan will become reality here!"
The man in the gray raincoat asked, "Did you bring it?"
The black-robed man reached into his robes. "Of
