Qin Xin tore several Death Guards apart with his power claws as easily as chopping melons and vegetables. Compared to such close-combat weapons, he still preferred the power glaives unique to the White Scars Legion.

However, due to portability constraints, Tengu Mechs were almost never equipped with power glaives suited to their size, relying instead on power claws as their primary weapons.

Moreover, because of their differing body structures, White Scars found it difficult to wield their combat techniques as freely and fluidly as when clad in power armor. Power claws remained the more practical choice.

When Qin Xin roared through the Tengu Mech's speakers for Mortarion to get out, all the Death Guards suddenly fell silent.

Though these plague pigs wreathed in foul poisonous gas had never been particularly talkative, they had at least constantly traded verbal barbs with their old rivals, the White Scars.

Qin Xin immediately recalled the previous speculations and rumors. During the earlier wars, the Death Guard had never appeared at all; they had even been absent from Horus's Ullanor muster.

The movements of a primarch naturally drew the attention of many people. Within Terra's War Council, there was even an analytical division of more than two hundred staff officers examining Mortarion's whereabouts through information and intelligence gathered from every possible channel.

Although not everyone knew that humanity and the Aeldari had formed an alliance and begun cooperating, nor did they know that the Aeldari had involved themselves in the matter, Mortarion had always received more attention among the traitors than anyone except Horus.

If he appeared again without having ascended to daemonhood, it would mean that the first cooperation between humanity and the Aeldari had achieved a welcome result.

Nurgle's scheme had failed. Humanity had delivered a vicious slap to the Chaos God who
