From lofty phaerons and overlords to the lowliest, humblest Necron Warriors, the moment they caught even a trace of the Flayer Virus, they would face complete contamination and madness.

It had condensed from all the resentment and curses left behind by the C'tan Llandu'gor before his death. Every Necron infected with the Flayer Virus would fall into irreversible corruption.

The Flayer Virus was not some tangible microorganism as humanity understood it, but a bizarre concept closer to a meme.

Yet this bizarre concept spread through physical means of viral transmission, such as scratching Necrons' metal bodies or biting them.

A terrible hunger corrupted the Necrons' cognitive cores. No matter how many times they replaced their metal bodies or cleansed their thought engines, it was useless.

After infection, all Necrons lost much of their sanity and developed an incomparably intense craving for flesh.

Every infected individual constantly repeated the same cursed words: "I am Llandu'gor, the curse of the Necrons."

That was the absurdity of this C'tan's curse. The former god-slayers and traitors, once infected, instead worshipped the C'tan with fanatical devotion.

In a sense, Llandu'gor, who had been completely slain, achieved a filthy resurrection through these Flayers.

And within the infamous Ghoul Stars, there was a Necron dynasty in which nearly every member had been infected by
