Adam's thought processor ran for one-thousandth of a second.

In that fleeting instant, he had calculated the feasibility of Dantioch's plan.

The decisive battle on the western front was approaching. After the Battle of Harad, the Orks had fallen into a defensive posture. If humanity could directly eliminate the Beast on the battle planet now, victory would be secured in one stroke.

News had already arrived from the southern front. The Primarch had led his forces to level Skullcrusher, with his spearhead pressing straight into the heartland of the Ork Empire.

They did not have many opportunities left.

Dantioch wanted to restore the glory of the Steel of Nirvana Legion, while Adam wanted to present his father with a dazzling first gift. They had to take the Beast's head before the Imperial armies did.

It sounded somewhat unrealistic. After all, Luther commanded the Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Iron Hands, and part of the Raven Guard. Added to that were the Necrons, whose overall strength far surpassed theirs.

But they were not without a chance. With the dimensional space Dantioch possessed, they could appear on the battlefield with unimaginable mobility.

Every C'tan possessed its own dimensional space, though some were stronger or weaker, larger or smaller than others.

Zahulash, the Overlord C'tan Dantioch had possessed, was not particularly formidable among the C'tan. But even the weakest C'tan was still a C'tan, and it possessed what a C'tan should possess.

"What we need to do now is wait patiently for the right moment."

"When the Orks are bogged down in the mire of war, when all their attention is drawn to the Imperial expeditionary force and the Necrons, that will be the moment for us to bare our blades."

Adam imagined the scene Dantioch had described. Even he felt his blood stir.
