The writing really wasn't good, mainly because some of the underlying logic was downright brain-dead. Revising chapter 352 last night didn't quite feel right, so I decided to revise the preceding chapters along with it. The overall plot progression remains unchanged, but I've added some crucial logic.
To spare those who have already read it the trouble, here is a brief explanation of the changes.
In short, at the moment the book was stolen, a shift in destiny interfered with Yi Shuyuan. Meanwhile, far from home, Chu Hang was startled by a dream that something had happened back home, and seemed to glimpse the book being stolen through a haze. This was what caused the Heavenly Book to emit a faint glow.
The same principle explains why writing later appeared on the Heavenly Book in the bushes: Chu Hang was effectively reading the book in his dream, causing its text to appear. Realizing that he could read the Heavenly Book, he touched it in his dream and entered a state of contemplation.
This "touch" and "contemplation" gathered windblown dust and fine rain, sensing his silent recitation of the Immortal Script and his thoughts, and the glow refracted through the misty drizzle to form the text.
At that moment, Yi Shuyuan realized something was wrong. He "seized" this figure, even hazier than the Chu Hang he had once seen through divine sense, dispersed it, and sent it back to its original body.
What follows is basically the same as the later version from last night.
