Now that Shoulder-Picking Wine had become famous, Liu's Wine Shop naturally enjoyed a steady stream of customers. But that was only a small part of its business. More of its profits came from expanding its brewing operation, supplying the entire city and province, all of Lingdong, and even the whole country. It also worked with quite a few other breweries.
Liu's Wine Shop itself had always been kept open, connected at the back to its oldest earthen-still brewery, where local walk-in customers and longtime patrons could buy wine. It sold only one kind, and although it was out of the way, its wine was considerably cheaper than at the various restaurants.
When Yi Shuyuan brought Stoneborn to the alley, he could faintly smell the wine from its entrance. Customers passed through the alley from time to time as well.
