As though sensing something, Ya Ci, the North Sea Dragon Lord, narrowed his eyes slightly. He was not particularly far from the White Dragon.
Ya Ci was also the only member of the Four Seas' Dragonkind still maintaining human form within the great tide of primordial essence. As a True Dragon, he could set the energies of the waters flowing with a thought, and naturally had no fear of a few rapids.
But Ya Ci also knew very well what the current pressure meant for the other dragons. Judging by the situation, many would likely be eliminated later.
Having taken the seat of North Sea Dragon Lord, Ya Ci instinctively considered the interests of Dragonkind. With a True Dragon's perception of water essence and destiny, he naturally knew that power had long been gathering within the great tide.
The White Dragon was gathering that power, as were the thunderclaps in the sky-and the tide itself.
Dragon ascension could never amount to merely this.
Ya Ci's own dragon ascension had seemingly been that final moment of climbing to heaven, when boundless resentment and water energy converged upon Dragon Painting Mountain. In truth, the centuries and calamities preceding it had all been part of the process. His had been an unconventional path, but one with no shortage of trials.
Compared with his own, the White Dragon's dragon ascension could probably be called orthodox. But how could it possibly be this "easy"?
Ya Ci had initially intended to warn the North Sea Dragonkind, but reconsidered. Fortune and calamity were theirs to earn, and a dragon's heart had to mature on its own. Too much interference would do more harm than good. He would leave it to each individual's fortune.
