"Doctor, the Wang Household has had only one male heir in each generation for generations. Shicai hasn't fathered any children yet. Nothing must happen to him!"
"Yes, Doctor, what exactly caused this? Have you discovered anything?"
In a room in the Wang Household's rear courtyard, the family crowded around the elderly physician they had summoned. He sat beside the bed, looking at Wang Shicai lying there. His complexion alone seemed perfectly normal, but his pulse was another matter.
"At first touch, his pulse seems steady, yet there is a certain weakness to it. He clearly doesn't look ill. Young Master Wang, would you allow me to examine the affected area?"
The affected area? The old physician's meaning was obvious. Master Wang dismissed the unnecessary onlookers and shut the door. Although Wang Shicai felt ashamed, he had no choice but to comply, taking off his trousers for the examination.
Wang Shicai stood there while the old physician examined him, his brows drawn tight. It was not disgust-after decades of practicing medicine, what hadn't he seen? This was simply far too strange.
Young Master Wang's member resembled a leech that had died at the Medical Clinic before it could be used as medicine, utterly limp from end to end, lifeless and unresponsive. Even its sensitivity to touch and pain had greatly diminished.
"Come, Young Master Wang, please lie down. Let me try acupuncture!"
Wang Shicai hurriedly lay back on the bed. The old physician took silver needles from the wooden case he carried, while the family gathered around to watch him treat their son.
But no matter where he inserted the needles, Wang Shicai kept saying that he felt no reaction down below, and his face occasionally turned pale.
After trying for a while, the old physician put all his needles away.
