Some people said this book left a lot of loose ends unresolved. Honestly, nearly three hundred characters appeared in this book, and all of them were accounted for. The vast majority had endings; as for the very few left open, as I said earlier, it wasn't appropriate to continue their stories.
As for the main storyline, which people criticized from the book's beginning right through to its completion, I generally just smiled when people said things like that, because there was clearly no reasoning with them.
The working out of the Heaven and Earth Transformation and the wanderings through the Mortal World, along with the tribulations of the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, were basically all covered. It was only a question of how much space each received, and ending with grain full was the most fitting choice.
If I really wanted to keep writing, I could go on forever, but there would be no point. And honestly, this book's performance fell far short of my expectations, which made it even less worthwhile!
If you want to call this a botched ending or an abandoned novel, I won't accept that myself. This wasn't the sort of book that needed a final boss fight or a struggle for dominion over the world. Making that claim without explaining why is really no different from bashing the main storyline.
