All they knew was that the Sacred Sect was planning something momentous that spanned a hundred thousand years, seeking to reverse the Dharma-Ending Age and open a path forward.
This undertaking concerned the Spirit-Taming World, the foundation upon which countless living beings, especially humanity, depended for survival in the Age of Dharma Decline.
Its code name, "Profound Realm Ascension to Immortality," also gave them much to ponder.
The Yellow Venerable focused on Xiang Liu's infiltration of the Human Realm in pursuit of the Dao and the success ultimately achieved there. These events were closely connected to their present circumstances and the principles that would guide their future actions. Matters concerning other mighty Heavenly Venerables, such as Mystic Heaven and Balanced Heaven, received only a passing mention.
But what caliber of people were those present? Even that fleeting glimpse immediately allowed them to draw upon their own legacies and the many secrets they had previously uncovered, and understand crucial details that had once eluded them.
Lianshan, Guizang, and the others, who lived in the later Age of Dharma Decline, had access to more inherited texts and could draw conclusions with the benefit of hindsight, felt as though the tangled brush blocking their minds had suddenly been cleared away.
"So that was it... Our Sect predicted the existence of the Age of Declining Dharma long ago and attempted to prepare a way out."
