Others had peach-shaped foreheads and pointed horns, long, tapered cheeks, and limbs as thin as firewood, their entire bodies brimming with fierce killing intent like bloodfire.
There were also creatures with three heads and six arms, ox heads and horse faces, and all manner of half-human, half-demon forms.
Every monster from the legends of the Mortal World, every horror invoked to silence a child's cries at night, seemed to have appeared atop those Demon Clouds.
An archaic Bronze Chariot raced through the air, drawn by two heavenly horses. A burly soldier in silver armor stood upon it like a mountain, a spear in his hand.
He stood over a zhang tall, his features hidden beneath a faceplate that made them impossible to discern. His entire body exuded a solemn, majestic aura like that of a deity.
