Thank you all so much for your support throughout. Because of certain issues with the subject matter and design, as well as the limits of my own ability, Spirit-Taming True Immortal did not achieve the results I had hoped for. I should originally have ended it at a much lower word count, but because I did not want to give up, I kept writing!
I would not dare say I was satisfied with this outcome, but I felt I had at least given the readers, myself, and the work itself a proper conclusion.
The book's overall structure was complete. Though the later portions strayed somewhat from the spirit-taming premise and failed to make the most of it, and the idea of treating the Heavenly Dao as a spirit and using the Spirit-Taming Borrowed Technique ultimately proved a little too metaphysical, to the point that even the protagonist often barely appeared, those were issues with the subject matter and design, as well as my own writing ability. They had nothing to do with anything else...
The part that was truly cut was probably the final battle.
In fact, I rewrote the ending several times, but in the end I deleted the two combat chapters I had already finished and simply brushed past the battle in a few words.
There were also some loose ends that readers might have felt I had left unresolved. But since the protagonist had already reached that level of cultivation, there was no need to worry about the arrangements for his family, friends, or sect. There was no need to explain every one of them in detail, or it would have become far too long and involved.
