"Team leader, what do we do if they show up?"
The meeting fell silent.
The police and other agencies had no place to weigh in, while every Special Security Team member in the vehicle or on the video call frowned.
Thanks to Yellow Radar's intuition, the question seemed to have shifted straight from whether the mysterious beings would appear to how they should respond once they did.
"Xiao Liu, you're the on-site commander now. I'd like to hear your thoughts."
Liu Yue unscrewed a bottle of mineral water and took a gulp.
"The choice isn't really ours. If they actually show up, are we seriously going to arrest them on sight?"
That was indeed the case. The consequences of daring to do so were far too unpredictable. One wrong move could mean destroying their own greatest defense.
They finally settled on an approach.
To be safe, they had already cordoned off People's Security, with Plan Two as their main strategy. If the mysterious beings actually appeared, everyone on their side would have to exercise restraint until they showed malicious intent. The meeting ended. The first step was scheduled for daybreak tomorrow: sealing off sections of the sewers, then beginning the evacuation of residents at the same time.
