Magic power meant convenience.
Tao Xingzhi's sense of disappointment lingered for only a few seconds before he quickly adjusted his mindset and swept it away.
Their brief conversation had not yielded much information, but that was only compared with what he had hoped for. There was still information buried within it that they could dig into.
"What do you think was standing there just now? Was he human?"
Tao Xingzhi addressed all of them, but when he turned, he looked at Huang Jiutian. Clearly, eyesight was unreliable at a time like this.
"To my senses, he was a void, but I'm certain he was human!"
"Oh? Why do you say that?"
Huang Jiutian scratched his head.
"I'm not really sure myself. It's just a strong intuition. That dark, shadowy appearance might have been a disguise, one my senses couldn't penetrate, but that doesn't feel quite right either..."
Then he seemed to realize something.
"No, that wasn't a disguise! Or rather, he wouldn't even bother disguising himself, because he was never actually here!"
Jiu Tian's words left everyone puzzled.
"Explain!"
Huang Jiutian looked as though he was racking his brains, struggling to express what he felt.
"Based on our previous experience and what's happened recently, my senses lean more toward intangible souls, or something similar, right?"
"But just now, that sense of a soul felt incredibly powerful, yet also completely empty. I don't know whether you like watching anime, but there's this concept of a thought projection. That figure probably wasn't his actual body at all, just a projection of his thoughts!"
After saying that, Huang Jiutian gave a self-deprecating smile.
"There's no basis for any of this. I'm just guessing. I couldn't find anything else to describe what I felt..."
Tao Xingzhi frowned without speaking, mulling over Jiu Tian's words.
