Chapter 360: Mandatory orders
A convoy of trucks bearing the Xinhong Foods logo drove along the expressway late at night.
Every truck had someone in both the driver's and passenger's seats to keep the driver from dozing off. The company had suffered from driver fatigue before. Even with plenty of rest, people could easily get sleepy at night.
Five trucks drove in formation. Xiao Xiao opened the passenger-side window, letting the night breeze blow inside.
"Hey, hey, Xiao Xiao, don't open it so wide. It's pretty cold in the middle of the night."
Old Liu, the driver, hunched his neck as he spoke.
"Come on, Liu, you're in your prime. How come a little breeze is too much for you? Been doing too much 'driving' and draining your reserves?"

Their truck was the last in the convoy. There were few other vehicles on the expressway this late at night, and most that did come along hurried to overtake the trucks. Hardly anyone chose to drive alongside or follow behind heavy trucks.
As Xiao Xiao closed the window, a mass of headlights appeared in the distance in the side mirror.
"Whoa, what kind of convoy is that? Looks pretty big."
Old Liu had evidently seen it from the driver's seat too and made an offhand remark.
