Chapter 433: Put This On Before You Go!
A long saber flashed, followed by a deafening bang.
A serpentine demon lost half its head, while a monster with fleshy wings fell from the sky.
A Reserve Member of the Silent Knight Order lowered his Magic Steel Hand Cannon and looked around. His companions had finished fighting too, wiping out the small wave of several dozen demons.
"That's the third time already. Did these things really slip through the Ilorin blockade?"
A Skywalking Disciple flicked the blood off his spear and tilted his head, listening to the dense gunfire and howls in the distance.
"This doesn't look good! It sounds like Niger's military is about to lose control of the area inside the blockade!"
"What? No way! They've got plenty of troops on the line!"
Another man took a specially made compressed biscuit containing a Vermilion Fruit from his pocket and swallowed it whole.
"They do, but they spread out the advanced weapons sent to support them. And Niger's military has too few options and not enough air power!"
As they spoke, they suddenly looked up. Through the forest canopy, they could see a large flock of demons flying high overhead. Many were carrying dead soldiers.
Two Reserve Members raised their Magic Steel Hand Cannons, judged the distance and numbers, then lowered them again.
Boom!
An explosion erupted amid the airborne demons. One soldier who was still alive had detonated a grenade on his body.
The brief flash only slightly injured a few nearby demons. These locally manufactured Nigerien grenades produced too few fragments and lacked penetrating power. They were barely adequate against human soldiers, but could not inflict fatal wounds on demons with tough flesh and hides.
