Chapter 452: No, You Aren't
Even among all the Akeniksen, Gumiduo ranked among the best at sensing magic power. And although women were relatively rare among the great Akeniksen merchants, they had always been more perceptive.
She struggled to steady her quickening breath, knowing that the best thing to do now was look away or pretend nothing had happened.
But Gumiduo simply couldn't. At that moment, Pipi's will and soul seemed to shine through his eyes.
Pipi's eyes were clear and bright, their light seemingly warm, as though it would melt Gumiduo's wildly racing heart along with everything inside it.
"Oh, the noodles are ready again! Can everyone still eat?"
The bubbling water in the pot interrupted Pipi's thoughts, and he withdrew that diamond-bright gaze.
"Ah, yes! Let's keep eating... I've never had anything this delicious!"
Gumiduo hurriedly answered, then hastily fished noodles out of the pot with her fork. She looked nothing like an ice-cold queen of commerce, but rather a flustered young girl. Even Pipi found her especially adorable.
Gumiduo stole a glance at Pipi and found him already picking up noodles with those two little wooden sticks. The merchants around them had long since dug in as well. The members of her own caravan ate like reincarnated hungry ghosts, slurping hot noodles and gulping down broth without fear of burning themselves.
With that awkward moment behind her, she felt both relieved and a little disappointed.
Of course, the instant noodles were still delicious, and the atmosphere inside the tent had grown much livelier.
Gumiduo relaxed and chatted with Pipi about all sorts of things. Having been exposed to Earth's internet, he had an endless supply of entertaining topics and often made Gumiduo and the others in the tent laugh without even trying.
Some of the ideas Pipi
