Chapter 502: The possibility of a dark cataclysm
Hearing his friend's words, Tao Xingzhi more or less understood that Dawn must have discovered something. At the very least, it had made considerable progress in intervening in the Otherworld.
This left Tao Xingzhi a little excited, while also bringing a host of considerations to mind.
"Yan, give me a straight answer. Has Dawn discovered something? Do we have a chance of reaching the Otherworld? A normal Otherworld?"
Qin Xiaoxia waved his hand, and all the floating beads of coffee flew back into Tao Xingzhi's cup, still steaming hot.
"Well, you'd have to ask the Sage about that. I don't know all that much yet, but as you suspected, the gates to the Otherworld will open to us sooner or later."
Qin Xiaoxia tapped the fingers of his right hand rhythmically against the table.
"But there are so many worlds in the Void. If that opportunity really comes, we'll need to prepare on multiple fronts."
Like genuine old friends, the two discussed not only these serious subjects, but everyday matters as well.
"Yan" mostly talked about traveling around slaying demons, studying Magic Script, undergoing all sorts of training, and making White Crystal Components. Aside from his regular work, Tao Xingzhi led a simple family life, complete with the troubles of raising children.
In fact, this was far from the only such casual conversation "letting something slip" around the world. Among the countries that had distinguished themselves during the last global crisis, those whose senior officials had friends in Dawn had all received hints, some sooner than others.
Dawn very likely already had a way to break through the barriers to the Otherworld, and might even have begun some kind of promising attempt.
