With its two hind feet and tail forming a three-point support, Claw Number 16 stood upright in the testing grounds and surveyed its surroundings.
The other eight Thunder Beasts had all collapsed, unable to move, blood pouring from severed legs and tails.

Unable to contain its excitement, the Thunder Beast threw back its head and roared at the sky.

The loud electronic voice ringing through the arena threw cold water over Claw Number 16's excitement, cutting its roar short.
Claw Number 16 knew perfectly well that this power was not truly its own. It came from the terrifying metal parasite inside its body.
In several control rooms around the perimeter, evaluators analyzed the data from the camera capture system and recorded the results.
